Linkwide's Older Persons' Advice Project is an income maximisation and advice service for older tenant (60+) households. OPAP was first established in 2005 in order to address under claiming of benefits by the elderly people. Delivering the Project has quickly demonstrated a need for this kind of service. The SROI analysis carried out by Linkwide has not only proven the positive impact made by the Project but also resulted in a number of recommendations which will help the organisation improve its service provision.

Following the stakeholder consultation, the SROI analysis shows a number of positive outcomes, including increased household income, improved quality of life, reduced fuel poverty and reduced demand on NHS services.
The final ration calculated showed that every £1 invested in this activity brings a social return of £27.53.
